mine is Isabell, it means "My God is a vow" it's an french name - it comes from the spanish Isabel which means "consecrated to God".
it also stands for "the beauty" or "the untouched"

hmmm ... it all comes down to god somehow ... kind of ironic since i'm very sceptical
:)

oh and yes, i like my name - it has quite a few very sweet nicknames like Bellchen or Isi

Yeap in French Isa is Isabelle ;) I really like Bellchen as a nickname ! It's really cute !!

Anyway my name is Delphine. It comes from Delphi, the Greek city and it also comes from "delphinus" meaning "dolphin" in Latin.
I kinda like it but I hated it when I was in Italy cause everyone was telling me all the time "oh your name is Delphine ? Like the fish" ? It's not a fish and I'm not a fish !! Rrrrr !!

my name is tzeni (as written on my identity card, but I prefer Jenny)
I don't think it means sth, but anyway I love it! Here in Greece it's a weird name, no saint of ours has that name so I never celebrate anything but my birtday..And most people think that I'm a foreigner because of my name and because I'm really white in the skin (like a scandinavian or what), sth that's actually kind of annoying, but I don't mind anymore, cause know I'm moving to england where it's a common name..that's my story Laughing

well almost all of you know my name, it´s Joana, and in it´s christian meaning it´s God´s grace, but i don´t think my parents thought of that when they named me... in fact i think they didn´t think at all!! LOL because they didn´t knew if i was a boy or a girl, and when i was born, and the nurse anounced to my mom i was a girl she just said : " My Joana" and the name stuck! I like it Very Happy
